The BG4B adds a third more capacity than the BG3B for about the same installed weight — 118 to 160 lb — and a slightly larger drum that holds 377 ft of 1/4" rope at the top layer. For service truck and knuckleboom work where you need reach as much as pull, that extra barrel matters.
Same 5:1 reduction as the BG3B, with motor options up to 13.9 CID. Layer 1 gives 4,000 lb at 133 fpm.
Unlike the BG3B, the BG4B is available API 2c compliant as an option — worth specifying if the unit is going onto a crane that needs to meet that standard. Say so up front, since it isn't a field retrofit.
Sealed high-efficiency gearing, anti-friction bearings, cast ductile iron base, and a drum oil drain you can reach with cable in place. We stock, install and service these — call with your application and we'll spec it.
