The BG8B tops the BG range at 8,000 lb, and the striking number is line speed: 243 fpm at layer 1, rising to 351 fpm at layer 5. That's roughly two and a half times the BG6B, from a unit only slightly heavier at 300 to 315 lb.
It gets there on flow — 65 gpm at 2,420 psi in the rated configuration — so confirm your hydraulic supply can actually deliver that before specifying. Underfed, the unit simply runs slower.
Three gear ratios (23:1, 34:1, 59:1) and five motor options cover most of the range between torque and speed. The 01 drum holds 392 ft of 7/16" rope or 353 ft of 1/2".
Sealed gearing, anti-friction bearings, dynamic and multi-disc static braking, cast ductile iron base. We stock, install and service these — call with your application and we'll spec it.
