The BG6B is the most configurable hoist in the BG range. Three gear ratios — 7:1, 29:1 and 67:1 — and six motor displacements from 1.96 to 14.9 CID mean the same basic unit can be built for speed or for torque depending on what the job needs.
That flexibility is the reason to pick a 6 over a 4 even when 4,000 lb would do. A 67:1 build with a small motor pulls hard on very little flow, which suits auxiliary circuits that can't spare 20 gpm. A 7:1 build with a 14.9 CID motor moves line fast.
Two drum sizes are offered, and the 02 drum takes 7/16" rope up to 183 ft. Unit weight runs 142 to 261 lb depending on how it's specified — a wide spread, so confirm the build before you design the mount.
