The PD21A is the largest hoist in the PD range and the one built for pressure — rated at 4,000 psi, well above the rest of the line. A 15" barrel on a 25.5" flange carries 602 ft of 3/4" rope, and the 50:1 reduction delivers 20,250 lb at layer 1 in low range.

Like the PD17A it runs a two-speed variable displacement piston motor: 138 fpm in low, 282 fpm in high at layer 1. On offshore and platform cranes where the hook travels a long way empty, the high range pays for itself in cycle time.

Unit weight is 965 to 1,530 lb depending on build, so both the mount and the hydraulic supply need working through before ordering. At 4,000 psi this is not a unit to fit to a marginal power pack.

We stock, install and service these — send us the crane or vessel details and we'll work through it.

Configuration

Single gear ratio, piston motor options including two-speed variable displacement, single drum size, grooved drum or tension roller. Tell us your duty cycle, available flow and pressure, required line speeds and mounting arrangement.
