The BG3B is the smallest hoist in the Braden BG range and the one that fits where nothing else will. At 116 to 146 lb depending on motor, it mounts on service truck cranes, small deck installations and utility rigs without adding meaningful weight to the boom.
The 5:1 reduction with an 8.0 CID motor gives 3,000 lb at 140 fpm on the first layer — quick for a unit this size. Three motor displacements are offered, so line speed can be tuned to the hydraulic supply you actually have rather than the other way round.
Sealed gearing runs continuous duty without a cooling circuit, and the cast ductile iron base takes the abuse that kills fabricated frames. The drum oil drain is positioned so you can service the unit with the cable still on the drum, which on a truck-mounted crane is the difference between an hour and an afternoon.
